Students who apply by this date will be entitled to a reduced program fee. The final deadline is May 1st, 2023.Although there are application deadlines, students are accepted on a rolling basis. Early bird applicants will receive preference in admission decisions. Late applicants run the risk of finding the program of their choice full.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Who can apply?” el_id=”1475843539842-61629e2b-1c6d”]PSS are open to students (both undergraduate and graduate level) and recent graduates who wish to deepen or broaden their knowledge in a specific field.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How are participants selected?” el_id=”1475843539630-7b506d3e-72f3″]Each application is individually assessed based on the information provided in the CV and cover letter. The Admissions Committee focuses on educational background, interests and motivation.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the program fee and what does it include?” el_id=”1475843539411-ba8f47e2-c222″]Being the most popular PSS programs have been quite numerous in the last years. To keep the quality of the courses high, the number of spots in Summer Courses is limited. Students should submit the registration form as soon as possible, as acceptance to the course will be made on a rolling basis.
The reduced program fee is 840 EUR (for early-bird applications) and the full program fee is 890 EUR (for standard applications). The fee includes:
• Tuition and student materials.
• Accommodation in double rooms for one week.
• The half-board which includes breakfasts and lunches or dinner (according to the course schedule).
• Site visits, social programs, and special events (e.g. Boat Tour on the Moldau River, Tours of Prague, Happy Hour, Free day trip, and a Farewell dinner).
• Students are responsible for their travel to Prague, dinners, and personal expenses.[/vc_toggle][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner]
LANGUAGE

VISAS

SCHOLARSHIPS
[vc_toggle title=”Is it possible to get a scholarship for attending Prague Summer Schools?” el_id=”1475843809978-36931f1f-812b”]Unfortunately, as a non-profit organization, we are not able to provide students with financial aid. Nonetheless, we do encourage students to explore funding opportunities available through their home universities, non-governmental organizations and government sources. A good place to start the search is www.scholarshipportal.comAccepted students may ask for documents they need for their scholarship application(s).[/vc_toggle][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner]
CERTIFICATE & ECTS
[vc_toggle title=”Will I receive a certificate after completing the summer school?” el_id=”1475843809069-a8e0e551-70fb”]Yes, students do receive a certificate of attendance and participation on the final day of the summer school, stating their successful completion of the program.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Will I be awarded ECTS for attending the summer school?” el_id=”1475843952164-f630da28-b253″]In the past, graduates of Prague Summer Schools received credits from their home Universities. Many students in the past have counted our summer schools towards their degrees, usually receiving 3-4 ECTS. However, it is a sole responsibility of the students to fulfill the requirements of their home university.In order to have an idea of the summer school’s workload in terms of hours, we kindly invite you to visit the individual webpage of the program you wish to attend, and have a look at the preliminary schedule. We will be pleased to provide our alumni with any kind of supporting materials required by their home academic institution.[/vc_toggle][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner]
CANCELLATION
[vc_toggle title=”I have paid the program fee but I now want to cancel my participation? Can I get a refund?” el_id=”1475843808204-48022703-623f”]We offer a 100% refund of the received program fee, excluding international transfer fees, for any cancellation before the 31st of May.Cancellations between the 31st of May and the 15th of June are refunded for 90% of the received program fee, as the hotels charge a booking cancellation fee.
No refund can be made for cancellations after the 15th of June.[/vc_toggle][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″]
The accommodation cost included in the program fee is intended for double room occupancy, from July 1st (check-in day) to July 8th (check out day), at our partner hotels located in the beautiful Vinohrady area, Prague 2. The hotels are within a walking distance from the summer school venue and one metro stop or about a 15-minute walk from Vaclavske Namesti (Prague’s main square).
